Havering Folk Club – Romford, Essex
Havering Folk Club has become a regular Wednesday evening event where I enjoy playing a couple of songs amongst a friendly group who enjoy all sorts of styles. The venue has changed in the past, but remained at The old Golden Lion pub in the High Street, Romford, upstairs with ancient wooden beams and great acoustics up until February 2011.
New Address:
Havering Folk Club has now moved to a new venue at
The Moby Dick, Whalebone Lane North, (junction with A12) ,
Eastern Avenue, Chadwell Heath,
Romford, RM6 6QU.

Andy Roberts Night – 1st April 2009
April 1st 2009 was the date for a whole set of Andy Roberts songs and others as featured member of Havering Folk Club for the evening. All welcome, admission price minimal. It would be great to see you there.
The address then was The Golden Lion, 2 High St., Romford, RM1 1HR
and it’s very easy to reach by overground train from Liverpool Street Station – regular fast trains, or to park either in the market square or behind the pub.

When do you close for the summer?
Daddio Clarke
Hello DC,
The answer is never!
Havering Folk Club carries on every Wednesday right through the summer, with some weeks busier than others. Summer is a good time to go out really.
