		<description>Hi Andy
Great Article.

I can identify with you since I have done two such experiments in the last 12 months.

The first experiment was to see if I could be relarively productive while travelling Australia, New Zealand and Thailand. You can imagine that my blogposts were often updated about by current activity at the time but mostly quite thin...but some on.. Its Thailand. :-)

My second experiment came about because I needed to go to a Wedding in South Africa but couldnt afford to use any anual leave (because of the Aus, Nz and Thailand trip mentioned before)
after reviewing my employer&#039;s &quot;working from home&quot; or &quot;remote working&quot; policy I realised whether i am working 5 miles away or 1000miles away, unless there is a meeing I need to attend, there is almost no difference.

Well, it sounds good in theory, and is mostly true.
Slower internet (at the time) in South Africa hinderred some of my tasks which used to take me mere seconds in the UK.
Please dont ever take your BeThere ADSL2 broadband for granted.

One possitive thing about remote working is that it forces you to concentrate on getting results, possibly because you know you have less time and less resources to use.

Will he checking back on your blog.
