Blue – Andy Roberts on PhotoPeach
“Let the colours of springtime in the French Pyranees brighten up the wet winter days in England.”
Blue – Lyrics by Andy Roberts
Blue, blue, gentian blue
a carpet to cover the hillside
Golden yellow, buttercups yellow
dandelion cowslip and gorse
Pink, pink, campion pink
Thrift on a hedge by the sea
Green, green the moss and the fern
The rain shall make everything green
With these simple pallettes we fill in the landscape
The rocks are the pigment for soil
Worms are the workers
The earth that we see
has all been passed through as their spoil
Pale yellow, primroses yellow
on a wash of pale green
Blue, blue the highlight is blue
Not mauve or purple but deep gentian blue
It’s not often seen but it steals the show
when you do see that gentian blue.
