Some of the hardest work I ever did was on a "Pick Your Own" farm.

On weekends, customers came from all over the place to pick, so much of our time was spent directing traffic and helping people who didn't know the difference between a blackberry and a raspberry. That wasn't so bad, and we got to chat to customers too.

But during the week we picked too, and just as you said, it was backbreaking. Some of the hardest, hottest, and dullest work I ever did.
