OK, so when is the Harvest Moon Time?

Well this post was written in September 2007 and refers to the Harvest Moon that occurs around the time of autumn equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. That's usually September.

If you're in the Southern half of the world though, below the equator, then the Harvest Moon Time would be in March, coming up soon. In fact the equinox is on March 20th in 2009, the same date as last year so the nearest full moon to that date is the one you want.

You're welcome. I used to get asked to play Neil Young songs from time to time. I never wanted to learn any though, so I made fun of their inability to pronounce his name which is very mean of me really. When I wrote the blog post I wasn't aware that Harvest Moon was a Neil Young song, but never mind - at least it wasn't "Heart of Gold"!

Thank you. I have always enjoyed Harvest Moons (discovering the Niel Young song titled Harvest Moon reinforced my call to celebrate it). It is good to have it explained.
