Stories about unexploded WW2 bombs were quite common in the 1960s I seem to recall, but you would have thought they’d all been uncovered by now. Just recently, there have been a few stories from around Europe but this latest one is closer to home.
BBC NEWS | England | London | Homes evacuated after bomb find
Large World War II bomb found in East London.
Builders found the 500lb (226kg) device at a site off Palmers Road in Bethnal Green, east London, on Monday evening.

Hey, the gooferment can even screw things up more. It’s possible. Here in New Jersey USA, the gooferment bozos dumped “excess munitions” of the Jersey shore and forgot about it. Then another set of gooferment bozos decide the beach needs replenishment, so they pump sand from the ocean on to the beach. Guess what beaches are now mined? Yup, so we have to pay for them to sweep the beach. They announced they “think” they got them all. But just in case, no digging on the beach and no amateur “treasure hunting” with the hand-held metal detectors. So be happy they just found one! They could have dug up some more and put them in your way.
You can’t make this stuff up!
