I’m excited by an initiative which has come out of the conference called “Recent Changes Camp” – about Wikis.
They appear to have decided to collect and document ideas about facilitating good community on wikis – sharing good practice if you will, but have kept away from the phrase “pattern language” and instead compromised on the name “WikiPractices” which I think is a positive outward looking development .

WikiPractices is an initiative to identify and describe best (and worst) *social* practices in the Wiki community. Social practices are those approaches to Wiki stewardship and usership that can’t be easily codified as technical (software) solutions, but do have proven, more “touchy-feely”, solutions…. This started just as a dump of the notes from the initial meeting; we aim to work this up over the next few weeks.
I’ll be apportioning some of my attention towards the development of The WikiPracticesGlossary pages which look set to become an important intersection with the DARwiki

Hi Andy!
It is pretty cool! A group of folks got together at WikiSym and started to focus work that has been done at MeatballWiki and other places. RecentChangesCamp was a wonderful continuation. Please feel free to pop in!
Best, Mark

Also, if you would like to upkeep the DARnet page at WikiIndex, that would be cool. http://www.wikiindex.com/Dar best, mark
