Walk in the woods November 20, 2004

Last Sunday was no use for getting any coursework done, with the weather being perfect for a walk in the woods. The destination if I want to do a bit more than just a trip round the duck pond, is Wanstead Park, the derelict grounds of what was once Wanstead House, the palacious country home of a posh family ruined by gambling, now managed by Epping Forest. Wanstead Flats is all part of Epping Forest too, being the urban end of the same belt of green which Gina likes to walk in, a few miles further out.

Anyway, here is a small photo album which doesn’t really recapture the walk, but has one or two images of possible interest, like the close up of the white fur on the bracket fungus, and the black heron.
