I’ve been having a discussion about Wiki Resistance and Wiki benefits over on Tom Smith’s blog.
Here are some Wikis or Wiki Articles I thought worth Furling over the past months.

and if you go to her blog it seems she worked on the packaging for TV-B-gone which
I blogged in October. So it’s a small world, or is there a connecting thread here somewhere?
Walk in the woods November 20, 2004
Posted by Andy Roberts in : hi res photos, wildlife, London , comments closedLast Sunday was no use for getting any coursework done, with the weather being perfect for a walk in the woods. The destination if I want to do a bit more than just a trip round the duck pond, is Wanstead Park, the derelict grounds of what was once Wanstead House, the palacious country home of a posh family ruined by gambling, now managed by Epping Forest. Wanstead Flats is all part of Epping Forest too, being the urban end of the same belt of green which Gina likes to walk in, a few miles further out.
Anyway, here is a small photo album which doesn’t really recapture the walk, but has one or two images of possible interest, like the close up of the white fur on the bracket fungus, and the black heron.
Note: the thumbnails link to large photos, but for the highest resolution images the album software provides a link near the bottom of individual pages which looks like this:

Google Scholar search for Intuitive Practitioner literature November 18, 2004
Posted by Andy Roberts in : learning , 6commentsGoogle Scholar ( beta) is a new search service which claims to enable us to “search specifically for scholarly literature, including peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, preprints, abstracts and technical reports from all broad areas of research. Use Google Scholar to find articles from a wide variety of academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories and universities, as well as scholarly articles available across the web.”
Hmm, it sounds like this could save researchers a lot of sifting.
Try searching for “Intuitive Practitioner” or something you’ve been having trouble finding literature for recently. Does this help?
Something tells me we’re all going to be using using Google Scholar quite a bit in future.

The Source November 12, 2004
Posted by Andy Roberts in : hi res photos, wildlife , add a commentAt Fontibre is the source of the river Ebro, after which the Iberian peninsular is named.
The Ebro flows all the way from here, high up in the Cantabrian Mountains near the Pico de Tres Mares, southwards towards the Mediterranean Sea, irrigating the vineyards of Rioja along the way.
In the village square, there’s a large relief map of the route.
