Dave Fryatt used to say that East London is steeped in long traditions built up over many generations of immigration, class struggle, and revolting seafood.

Great picture. I like the ‘no, they’re not electric’ – they must have got asked that a lot!
Dear Andy,
It does sound a bit like the kind of thing I would say, but I have to admit I don’t remember actually saying it. Now I am teaching English I would feel obliged to correct the grammar of the notice, though I suppose that this wouldn’t go down too well.
Anyway how is the wicked world treating you? Are you a full time photographer of fish stalls?
All the best
David
This is one of the things I still get a kick out of on the Internet. Mention somebody you haven’t heard of for years, and eight months later they do a google uk search for their own name or something, and land up on the blog.
How’s it going Dave?
The world is still wicked, and treating me. I had to resign from the full time fish stall photography job due to non payment, but I manage to keep busy in various ways. I’ll email you and find out where you’re teaching English these days.
Cheers
Andy
