I’m so glad I chose this particular variety of hibiscus just a few years ago when I wanted something a bit special for that end of the garden.

It’s a nice one… but I cant make out exactly what colour it is? White with light pinkish/blue tinges?
How hardy do you find it to be? I thought the only hardy garden hibiscus used in England was the blue one, which you can oft see in parks and gardens.
Hi Gerry, I think any pink and blue tinges are introduced by various combinations of software and hardware - the flowers are pure white with a small red centre and a protruding yellow part with the stamens etc. As for hardiness, well I think we can grow a lot of things in sheltered London gardens which would not be considered hardy in England generally, there are plenty of Hibiscus at Kew although most are the dark red, pink or purple varieties. The first I really noticed was a beautiful yellow one in a friend’s garden in the west of France.
