16 short films April 4, 2004

I’m still exploring the themes of motion, transport, bridges again - the relationship between private people and public spaces.
Some are longer than others, some are smaller than others.
Silently explore, and meditate
which is your favourite.

Hey I like them all… they all have a spooky quality where they could be turned into perfect loops and run indefinitely… like the station or the bridge or the guy asleep on the tube… like a travelling ground hog day…
I do like the escalator one especially, because it ends up a wagamama’s… mmm….
I especially enjoyed the people moving around the station. The flash of flags in the middle of the film intriqued me and made me watch it again to check I had really seen them!
Several of the escalators and tube films made me feel sea sick! but then I can’t watch those 3D films without feeling ill . . .
Sadly, I couldn’t get any of them to work for me -something missing on Quicktime.
Didn’t get to see The Dreamers either
Finally got to watch them! I agree with Ali - I felt decidedly queasy watching the escalator and tube ones. My fave was watching the people on the bridge and the movement on the river. Especially loved the colour on this one.
