Have you ever wondered? road
Have you ever been driving along towards a bridge and noticed people stood on the bridge looking down at the traffic? I’ve seen it a lot - but why do they do that ? What are they looking at - is it interesting? Thanks to the wonders of new media I am able to give you the opportunity to find out for yourself right now without having to breathe in the fumes or expose your hairstyle to the wind. So pull up a comfy chair, make sure you have nibbles and drink ready then click on the thumbnail and prepare to be enlightened.

Canada Geese in Flight

P1010046

Canada Geese are becoming a nuisance on many of our inland lakes, rivers and larger ponds. A species non-native to Britain, they seem to thrive better than our native geese and swans, especially when people throw them dozens of loaves of bread and sacks of rice.

Thames Freight March 29, 2004

barge.jpeg
A certain amount of freight traffic still uses the river Thames, which is currently navigable by large barges all the way from Teddington Lock right out to Tilbury and the ocean beyond. This would all change if the London Plan were ever implemented.

London Bridge

Movement on the bridge lonbridge

People and transport on London Bridge, Friday afternoon - just to celebrate being back in the film making business - for nothing - yes!
It wasn’t quite as easy as on the eMacs with iPhoto. First I had to download drivers for the camera to make it look like a disk, then I wanted to do some compression so I tried a shareware program called WinMPG Video Convert. It worked, in as much as it created an output AVI but the file size was slightly larger than the original - doh. So I’m still looking for a win based video compression / cleaner /editor program otherwise I’m confined to 10 second rushes here.

Invaders March 24, 2004

It was a scene of devastation.

Whatever kind of ‘thing’ may have done this, it wasn’t like anything we have experienced on earth before.
Invaders kitchenI was glad to have arrived what must have been several minutes after they left, goodness knows what might have happened to me otherwise. The only clues as to where they may have come from were a bowl of half eaten green nuggets and small unworldly audio/optical device which had been clumsily dropped into a wastebin and covered with slightly damp blue tissue paper. I plugged the alien device into my Mac OSX computer and amazingly it recognized it!
Here is the file which was contained therein, please - anyone -

can you help me to make sense of it?
